Who I am
I was brought up in a working-class family in Wigan and this is my second career, so I’m well acquainted with career and mid-life transitions. After graduating from the University of Manchester, I worked for over 20 years in a number of corporate roles. The last of these posts involved commissioning public health services, specifically drug & alcohol detox and rehabilitation services, sexual health services and also services for the victims of domestic violence.
I am now a full-time therapist but bring a wealth of experience of working in a political and competitive corporate environment.
Like most people I’ve experienced regret, disappointment and the pain of grief. Fortunately, I was able to access the right sort of counselling support. This support inspired me to play my part in helping others heal by working through what may be holding them back from moving forward and living a fulfilled life.
Qualifications
"I have completed a Post-Graduate Diploma (Distinction) in Counselling & Psychotherapy at the University of Salford and my primary modality is Person Centred Therapy. I am currently completing Post Graduate Research into how we process, integrate and ultimately grow from the experience of Regret.
